Sports Photo Day has come and gone, and your child was photographed by Jeanne Sager Photography. Now what? It’s time to order those images to save this moment of childhood!
After a day of capturing portraits and team photos, I head back to my studio to sort through the images of the day and apply my custom hand-editing to the images before creating a gallery full of photos for families. This gallery is where you will have the chance to purchase downloadable images, printed photos to hang on the wall, and even keepsakes like ornaments or calendars to share with the grandparents.
Here’s your guide to it all.
Within 3 weeks of picture day, you’ll receive an email from me containing a link to the sports photo gallery. For the protection of your children, this gallery is only available to those who have received the direct link.
If this is your first time having your child photographed by Jeanne Sager Photography, you will be prompted to enter your name and email address. You’ll also have the option to sing up using a Facebook or Google account.
Once you enter this information, the gallery will open up for you to browse and make your selections.
As your scroll through the gallery, if you spot a photo you like, you can hit the heart button to save it as a “favorite.”
This does not mean you have committed to purchasing this photo. It simply makes it easy to go back to without having to search. If you’re having trouble deciding which photos to download or print, a favorites list can help you narrow down your choices.
Once you’ve selected all your favorites, and you’re ready to add them to your cart, simply hover over the photo, and click Buy in the lower right corner. (It’s right beside the shopping cart).
When you click buy, you will be given a host of options including physical prints, digital downloads options, and more.
Can’t wait to show off your favorite photos? Each gallery includes the option to purchase a high-resolution digital download of your child’s photo(s). This means you’ll have them in your hands (or on your phone!) within minutes. Post them online, share them with friends, or simply keep them close for whenever you want to look back on this slice of time.
If you select downloads from the product choices, you will be given the option to purchase all photos or just one. If you’re purchasing several photos, you can repeat this process multiple times for multiple photos — you will only be asked to check out once.
If you choose to purchase a digital download, the watermark will disappear as soon as you download the image.
While digital photos are great, there’s nothing quite like holding a beautiful print in your hands. Your gallery is linked to a high-end printing lab that only photographers can use. This professional lab delivers exceptional color accuracy, sharpness, and longevity. They create professional-grade prints that are designed to last for generations (and won’t have funny colors like that cheap print from Wal-Mart).
To purchase prints and/or keepsakes, you will follow the same process as digitals — at least to start. Select “buy” from the icons at the bottom of the photo, and you’ll see the same prompt. This time, you can sort through the options of prints, albums, canvas wraps, and more.
Any time you want to return to the gallery, head to the top of the page, and select gallery on the lefthand side.
If you’re ready to check out, you can also go directly to your cart by heading to the icons in the top right.
Before you check out, please check the cropping on each photo to ensure it meets your expectations. Different print sizes have different aspect ratios, which means the image may be cropped slightly depending on the size you choose. By reviewing and adjusting the cropping, you can make sure the important parts of the photo aren’t accidentally cut off. (This does not apply if you are purchasing digital photos only.)
You will be asked to create a password for your account. Make sure you store that information! It’s specific to your account, and I will not be able to see what you chose. This is to protect the safety of your information. If you do forget your password (hey, who can keep track of them all?), you can easily reset it by clicking Forgot Password on the login screen. You will receive an email with directions on how to reset it.
